Student with Elaine

I teach children and adults of all ages and abilities. From complete beginner to advanced players, and I am often asked by schools to help children with special educational needs or to help secondary students studying music for their GCSEs.

I teach Rockschool and Trinity syllabus grades 1–8 as well as GCSE music and other syllabus studies.

Subjects covered include:

  • Hand Technique and Drum Rudiments
  • Theory
  • Reading Music and Sight Reading
  • Rock, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Pop, World Styles and many more.
  • Playing along with recordings
  • Learn your favorite songs

I am flexible with students' musical needs – often students will bring in pieces from school or college to be worked on, or they will simply want to learn something they have always wanted to play.

I am DBS checked and hold a full child safeguarding certificate which is annually renewed.

Lessons can be taught at my studio in Leafield, Oxfordshire – or virtually in your home  via Zoom. All lessons must be booked in advance and are either 30 mins or 1 hour long.

Charges are £19 per 30mins or £38 per hour.

Kits used for teaching are Roland TD30K, Roland TD4KP & a Mapex Saturn drum kit.
